Our conservatory lounge is a favourite place for many of our residents at our St Catherine’s nursing home in Newcastle and it made an elegant setting for an impromptu lunch get-together recently.
Overlooking our pretty courtyard garden, our residents find the bright and spacious lounge both uplifting and relaxing and often meet fellow residents there for a catch up and a cuppa or to enjoy some of our varied activities together.
But, for Sheila, Ann, Selma and Nancy, it was too perfect a setting to leave even when lunchtime came around.
Always happy to make our residents’ wishes come true, our staff set up a stylish table with a garden view where lunch was served and thoroughly enjoyed.
“Our dining room is lovely, too” said Selma, “but, we were so nice and settled and enjoying the good company and conversation so much that we didn’t want that time to come to an end.”
