It might feel like summer has only just finished, but as we race towards October it is a handy reminder that Christmas is just around the corner. So, what better way to plan than by chipping in
on Christmas dinner and growing your
own potatoes?
That’s exactly what a resident at our Sherringham House Independent Living Service has decided to do. Julie, who also volunteers at our Alan Shearer Centre, has managed to wedge in some time for planting the perfect potatoes for that all-important Christmas roast.
“Roast potatoes are my favourite part of Christmas dinner,” said Julie, “so being able to grow them myself is great.”
We’re sure they’ll be delicious, Julie – you’re quite the spud-ing gardener!
