Young people living in our Auton Residential children’s home in Darlington have really entered into the spirit of Christmas giving.
After a house discussion about how they could help those in need in their local community this festive season, our young people chose to buy gifts for a local women’s refuge.
Pooling their money, they had enough to fill three large boxes with toys, clothes and toiletries to help make Christmas a little brighter.
“It’s a mint idea and such a shame for the kids that have to stay there over Christmas,” said one of our young people. “We just wanted to help.”
What a wonderful act of kindness.
