Volunteering Opportunities
Volunteers are a vital part of our work and we are always looking for people who would like to help us enrich the lives of those in our care.
If you would like to discuss any of our volunteer opportunities our Marketing Manager, Nicola Milne, would be delighted to talk to you. Please contact her on 0191 242 4809 or email nicola.milne@stcuthbertscare.org.uk

Visiting an elderly resident
Newcastle and Sunderland
Can you spare a little of your time to visit an elderly resident in one of our nursing homes? Even a few precious minutes spent sharing light-hearted conversation can make all the difference.

Gardening
Ashington, Newcastle and Sunderland
Whether you’re looking for a project or just to lend a hand tidying and weeding, we have the ideal gardening opportunity for you. Our extensive gardens need lots of TLC and there’s something to do all year round.

Fundraising
Throughout the region
We rely upon the generosity of our supporters to ensure we can continue with our charitable work and always need people to help us raise funds. Whether it’s climbing a mountain or holding a coffee morning we would be delighted to hear from you. Please contact Nicola Milne direct on 0191 242 4809 or email nicola.milne@stcuthbertscare.org.uk

Sharing talents

Do you have a skill or talent you could share with our residents? If so, could you spare a few hours to brighten our residents’ day? From singing and dancing to arts and crafts your skills would be very much appreciated.

Activity Assistant
Ashington, Newcastle and Sunderland
Many of our residents need a little extra support to enjoy some of our activities, even if it’s just helping with a game of bingo or playing dominoes. Can you spare a little of your time to assist?

Shop Assistant
Sunderland
The small shop at the heart of Holy Cross Nursing Home sells a range of cards, gifts and refreshments and is run solely by a team of volunteers. Can you spare a few hours to help out?
